Ping G410 Fairway Wood
About Ping G410 Fairway Wood
Introducing the Ping G410 Fairway Wood. Powered by a forged, maraging steel face, the G410 fairway woods are engineered to launch the ball easily and deliver faster ball speeds on a penetrating trajectory that maximises distance. A shallower face and efficient CG placement elevate MOI for tighter dispersion. For fine-tuning your fit, a new lightweight eight-position sleeve offers a wider range of loft (±1.5°) and lie combinations.
Available for preorder now and these will be shipped from February 7, 2019.
CG Aligned with Force Line
The low-back CG is slightly forward of G400 for faster ball speed with maximum stability and forgiveness. Impact occurs higher on the face, accelerating ball velocity with low spin for a long, penetrating ball flight.
Tungsten Weight, Forged Face
A high-density tungsten weight at the extreme perimeter of the head increase stability and forgiveness. The face is made of C300 maraging steel (one of the strongest alloys in the world), and is machined extremely thin to produce more flexing for increasing ball speeds, shot height and distance.
8-Lobe Trajectory Tuning
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 utilises a new, patented lightweight and aerodynamic adjustable hosel with eight settings, offering loft (±1.5⁰) and lie adjustments, including up to 3⁰ flatter than standard, to optimise ball flight.
Trajectory Tuning Chart
|Club||Loft||Loft Adjustability||Length||Average Lie Angle||Head Size||Swingweight|
|5-wood||17.5°degrees||±1.5°degrees||42 1/2″ 1/2||57.0°degrees||162cc||D1|
|9-wood||23.5°degrees||±1.5°degrees||41 1/2″ 1/2||58.0°degrees||144cc||D1|
Maximizing your distance and accuracy on long shots from the fairway is accomplished by matching the correct shaft flex for your swing. The goal is to achieve the correct trajectory with the fairway wood, which maximizes distance with the longer woods and minimizes roll with the shorter woods.
Generally, the same shaft type and flex as your driver will produce the optimal trajectory in fairway woods, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their fairway woods since they are ground-impact clubs and may perform differently for some players.
We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.
